Gorgeous Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, fondly called Omo Butty by fans, has revealed the reasons she left the entertainment industry.
In a post, the spectacular actress expressed her concern over the licentious acts that are low-key happening in the industry.
Her shocking revelation has, however, corroborated the underlying rumors of sex-for-roles that many actresses who are no longer in the game have attested to years ago in the industry.
In an Instagram post, Biodun Okeowo expressed concerns over the way she was blacklisted by marketers for refusing to cheaply give in to their advances.
According to her, the said marketers convinced producers to stop featuring her in their movies. She went further to narrate the sheer acts of wickedness perpetrated by these industry hoodlums, who went as far as removing her picture from a movie where she starred in the lead role.
Omo Butty revealed that so much damage was done to her career that she grew to hate a passion she was once very much obsessed with.
We are not oblivious to the fact that the industry is no longer what it used to be when the likes of Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekehinde were the grandmasters and gladiators who held the audience spellbound with their talents and intelligence.
Now, a talentless actress can secure a role by just having big butts or by having secretly replicated the Sodom and Gomorrah act with these clueless marketers and producers.
We believe the Actors Guild of Nigeria isn’t sleeping, and certainly, karma will one day arise from its slumber.
