Nollywood’s screen goddess and wife of Olubankole Wellington, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, has opened up to the public about the silent battles she fought in 2024.
While celebrating her birthday, the beautiful mom of one recounted the several ordeals and turmoil that the year 2024 dealt her and her husband.
First was her fierce battle with hyperemesis, a severe pregnancy complication that led to her being hospitalized for a couple of weeks.
The actress also mentioned that her husband had to undergo surgery again to have a cancerous tumor removed during a period when she was heavily pregnant.
Her gratitude to God also included a successful emergency cesarean section she underwent as a result of emerging complications before she finally recovered, a journey that, in her words, was quite difficult.
โITโS MY BIRTHDAYYYYY!!! Long post alert. 2024 really tried to take the wind out of my sail, so I am so grateful to be here celebrating my life and Godโs faithfulness.
From battling hyperemesis for months and being hospitalized, to learning that my husband needed another surgery while I was sick and pregnant, to undergoing an emergency C-section when the devil tried it AGAINโ2024 was a lot.
The healing process was harrowing, but I am here, and I am grateful.
She went on to appreciate the doctors in Lagos and Washington DC who played a crucial role in her recovery, as well as her husband, Banky W, for his unwavering support.
“Banky, I love you to life. I also want to thank everyone who gave me grace in 2024, especially those who didnโt know what I was going through. My village people are incredible.โ
โGod has stretched me and shown me Iโm capable of more than I ever realized. Now? NOW, Iโm coming for everything thatโs mine.โ
