The faceoff between the Senate President, His Excellency Godswill Obot Akpabio, and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan might not fade anytime soon, as controversies are being generated from different spheres.
Last week, Nigerians woke up to a disheartening post that claimed the Ebira youth passed a vote of no confidence on Senator Natasha, rendering her credibility before her people questionable.
The said report, which had gone viral and earned the learned Senator a stigma as a castaway, has generated quite a reaction from netizens, prompting the Ebira youth to speak up as a matter of urgency.
The group expressed their displeasure over the fallacies peddled on the internet by people who do not subscribe to the senator’s allegation of sexual harassment.
To disregard the viral claim, the Ebira Youth Congress has come forward, embodied in a letter, to decline any declaration of such.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY FEUD BETWEEN SENATE PRESIDENT, GODSWILL AKPABIO AND SENATOR NATASHA HADIZA AKPOTI UDUAGHAN
EBIRA YOUTH CONGRESS (EYC) DISCLAIMS IMPOSTORS AND WARNS AGAINST FALSEHOOD
Our attention has been drawn to a faceless group of adults under the name Ebira Youth Leaders Forum (EYLF), who paraded themselves as Ebira youth at a press conference in Abuja and purportedly passed a vote of no confidence on our Distinguished Senator, Barrister Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan
EYC has positioned itself as a unified socio-cultural organisation to strengthening bonds and deepening cooperations of Ezianebira regardless of political persuasions and religious creeds; and it was founded on the foundation of peaceful coexistence, community activism and strong advocacy for societal development.
As the umbrella youth organisation of the Ebira People, both at home and in diaspora, EYC takes serious exception to this glaring impersonation and falsehood. Our organization is known over the years for truth, justice and objective evaluation of events and circumstances, especially as it affects our fatherland. While our Congress is still taking stock of events in the Senate with a view to responding at the appropriate time, it wishes to put the record straight as follows.
1. That the purported Youth Organizations who addressed that press conference in Abuja does not exist in Ebiraland by the records of our affiliate youth organizations in the land.
2. The identities of the individuals as shown in the pictures cannot be verified from our various findings. At best, they can be described as impostors who are out for some mischiefs for reasons best known to them.
3. As against their falsehood, the Congress expresses its unreserved approval of Senator Natashaโs excellent performance at the National Assembly and thus, passed a VOTE OF CONFIDENCE on her stunning leadership in the 10th Senate.
4. The Congress warns those who are impersonating in this matter to refrain from such evil tendencies and uphold decency and truth as EYC will confront them frontally if they refuse to heed this warning. Let it be known to all โdoubting Thomases that the Youth Organizations in Ebiraland as represented by EYC, are solidly behind Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan as she has thus far represented us well in the Senate.
