Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye has on Thursday faced rigorous interrogation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The interrogation was preceded by a brewing allegations that rally round the misappropriation, procurement process violations, and diversion of public funds to the tune of N138 million.
It was alleged by the EFCC following investigation and interrogation that Uju Kennedy diverted these funds during the disbursement of the 2023 budget donated specifically for the funding of P-Bat Cares for Women to enrich herself.
The ex-Minister’s fall from political pinnacle began shortly after her unceremonious removal alongside four others from office in October 2024, during a Federal Executive Council shake-up staged by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
