Misfortune befell the Oron Community in Akwa-Ibom State on Monday morning when a 42-year-old Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor identified as Victor Okoh matcheted his 38-year-old wife, Victoria Okoh, over claims of infidelity.
The harrowing incident which took place on the 10th of March 2025 had witnesses testifying that they sensed all was not well with the Okohs after they heard a series of “save our souls” cries from the wife at exactly 5:00 AM on Monday morning, seconds after the husband pounced on her and started using the cutlass in front of their house.
Neighbors and witnesses who called the attention of the Oron Police revealed that prior to the incident, nothing such as an argument or quarrel was heard between them before Okoh unleashed terror, slaughtering his wife like an animal in the slaughterhouse.
It was reported that Okoh, who was later apprehended and taken into custody, attempted to escape by hiding in the ceiling of his house before he was smoked out by the police. The remains of the late Mrs. Victoria Okoh were thereafter taken to the mortuary.
