A worship centre that conducts a blend of Christian and Islamic religions has sprung up in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.
The founder of the Chrislam centre, Prophet Mobolaji Ganiyu Elijah Oshoba, explained that his mission for the Chrislam worship was divinely led.
Upon the emergence of his initiative, many religious leaders have voiced their disgust and disapproval of the Prophet’s methodological pattern of uniting the two distinct religions, claiming that he might ruin business for them.
The founder of the new religion, Prophet Elijah, has maintained amidst criticism that his mission wasn’t borne of self-aggrandisement but of the divine inspiration of God.
Speaking further, Prophet Elijah obliterated the words of those criticizing his church by emphasizing that Christians and Muslims serve the same God. He also clarified that religious division is man-made and has decided to continue preaching unity, even as opposition from clergy who disapprove of his approach gains momentum.
