The Flame Gospel Ministry International has been given a directive by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) to halt all religious activities indefinitely.
The order was preceded by a complaint from a lady identified as Ms. Sururoh, who reported on her X platform three days ago how the cacophonous noise from the church is negatively affecting the neighborhood.
Ms. Sururoh had written that a series of complaints concerning the church had been tabled before LASEPA for over a year without any tangible action taken to salvage the disturbed neighbors, while the church, upon peaceful confrontation, even intensified the noise, much to the neighbors’ disgust.
Ms. Sururoh wrote:
“This is long overdue, please. Weโve been reporting this case for over a year now, and nothing has been done. We went out to meet them about their noise, which is seriously disturbing us, and they had to increase it. Imagine going to bed after a long day with noise.โ
Reactively, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed the Lagos branch of Flame Gospel Minister International after several complaints of noise pollution.
