A serving corp member identified as Ushie Uguamaye has, in a now-viral video, decried the hardship ushered into the nation by the Tinubu-led administration.
In the video, the lady, suspected to be between the ages of 23 and 24, expressed concerns over the increasing prices of goods and commodities and how difficult it was for her to survive on the monthly meager allowance that corp members receive.
Brazenly speaking, the corp member faulted the presidency, stating that citizens are frustrated, to say the least, over the swelling inflation and the uncontrollable manner in which the prices of essential daily necessities like food, transportation, and shelter have inflated.
However, barely hours after the release of the video, the lady received several calls from unknown sources that identified themselves as “NYSC Officials,” who tasked her with taking down the video in which she had insulted the presidency.
The corp member, refusing to bow to any pressure, maintained that her video was buoyed by her constitutional right to freedom of speech, and aimed at demanding accountability, as opposed to the disparagement the officials have alleged it to be.
Netizens, reacting to the scenario, have equally faulted the government officials over their unfounded threats against the lady. They maintained that Nigeria and her leaders should be held accountable for the results of their governance without any threats on those who are audacious enough to calm them out.
