The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State government, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd), has been sworn in by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, Nigeriaโs capital.
Ibas’s swearing-in was conducted on Wednesday, the 19th of March, hours after the presidency announced the suspension of the sitting governor, Siminalaye Fubara.
Ibas was reportedly said to have arrived at the State House at 12:50pm for a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The People’s Insight recalls that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had appointed Ibas as the sole administrator of what is perceived as an interim government shortly after his declaration of a state of emergency in the state.
Apparently, there has been an existential crisis in the state that features two political gladiators: Siminalaye Fubara and Nyesom Wike.
