The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued what seems to be a stern warning to President Tinubu regarding his second term in office.
Primate Elijah Ayodele stated objectively that President Tinubu should address the economic downturn currently being experienced in the country, as it might significantly sabotage his chances come 2027.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele noted that given the current hardship, the politics of 2027 will not be business as usual for the ruling party, as there is a serious situation at hand. Ayodele advised the presidency to reduce the prices of goods and commodities, as Nigerians are in excruciating pain.
“The only way President Tinubu can get it right is by crashing prices; there is so much hardship, and I donโt know why people are not telling the president the truth.
โIf President Tinubu doesnโt address it now, this hardship will truncate his second term and mess up Nigeria. I had said that the votes for Tinubu would amount to hardship, and I am saying that if it is not eradicated, 2027 will not be the same.
โThe situation we have at hand is terrible because people are in pain; the people canโt even express it. Things are not in order, and it looks difficult to suppress.โ
Speaking further, the Primate sent words of advice to the presidency’s close associates, urging them to tell him the truth, as he might be oblivious to the extent of the hardship in the country.
“It is not at this time that electricity tariffs would be increased, or any other tariff should be enforced on the people. People can no longer afford things and even during this fasting period, things are so expensive and unaffordable. You canโt break your fast with N1,000.
โLetโs be truthful to the president, especially for those who are close to him, there is evident hardship everywhere. The situation is alarming,โ he said.
