In the spirit of camaraderie, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu donated 7,000 bags of rice to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.
The donation came as the President’s special Ramadan package for the members of the party in Zamfara State.
Yusuf Idris, the State’s Publicity Secretary, confirmed the receipt of the goods in a statement made in Gusau on Saturday, the 22nd of March 2025.
Similarly, Dr. Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, who officially inaugurated the distribution of the rice at the APC Secretariat in Gusau on Friday, the 21st of March, stated that it was the President’s personal palliative to the Zamfarans in commemoration of Ramadan, and also to reduce the financial burden on the members of the APC and the less financially buoyant. Also noting the party’s doggedness was his delivery on the leadership of the APC in the state.
โThis gesture is to appreciate the efforts of the APC leadership in Zamfara for their hard work, dedication, and loyalty, which have helped in strengthening the party,โ Matawalle stated.
Speaking further, the minister reminded all and sundry of the Federal Government’s full commitment to ensuring that a lasting solution is provided to the pillaging occurring in the state and beyond.
“The government under President Tinubu is taking all necessary measures to address the menace of banditry and ensure the safety of lives and property.โ
Terming the presidency’s gesture a “quick food intervention,” Ibrahim Dangaladima, while receiving the rice on behalf of the party members, expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the state’s minister.
โThis free rice has come at the right time when our people are in dire need of food assistance. We sincerely thank President Tinubu and the minister for this timely intervention,โ Dangaladima said.
