Deltans have unboxed their gift of jibe again as a viral video captures Delta State School of Nursing students chanting a song of reproach to lampoon the persona of the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, shortly after the MC invited her to the podium.
The First Lady had earlier visited Delta State for the purpose of her Renewed Hope Initiative project.
Her visit followed a warm reception by the Delta State Governor, His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori, who acknowledged her contributions to nation-building, noting that there had been a positive paradigm shift in the health sector.
Mrs. Remi Tinubu had equally paid courtesy visits to the Traditional Rulersโ Council Chambers, where she met with monarchs like retired Major General Felix Mujak Peruo, the Orodje of Okpe land.
However, the smooth visit of the First Lady was punctured when the MC, in an attempt to bring her on stage, raised a motivational song with the hilarious lyrics:
“Na our mama be this ooooo, we no get another one…”
The Nursing Students in an unexpected turn of event had responded to the lyrics in the most disdainful manner with:
“Na your mama be this o eeeeeee”
Their sarcastic response, which rejected the First Lady as their mother, has made the video go viral. The video highlights how the harsh economy is affecting everyone, leading people to vent their frustrations on anyone linked to the Presidency.
