Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili has responded to the apology tendered by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over the overboard, unbridled words carelessly thrown around by Ebonyi State lawmaker and deputy chief whip of the Senate, Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, on Tuesday, 25th March.
Recall that during the Senate hearing, Nwaebonyi had responsively labeled the former Education Minister as a hooligan and a disgrace to womanhood.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, however, wrote on her X handle, apologizing to Ezekwesili, citing that she is indeed a true icon of integrity.
She wrote:
Dr. @obyezeks, Maโam, I apologise for the insults,โ As a mother and a leader, you took them for me, for us. Recognize that you are a living example of courage, honesty, and inspiring leadership.
A champion of accountability, your unwavering dedication to democracy, education, and good governance continues to inspire generations. Nigerians value you. โI celebrate your brilliance, resilience, and selfless service. You are a hero โค๏ธ โค๏ธ#Leadership #Inspiration,โ Natasha wrote.
Responding to Senator Natasha in the calmest manner typical of democrats, Ezekwesili wrote on X:
“Very kind words, Dear Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan @Natasha Akpoti !
Yet to me, a torrent of insults from any source is but a little price to pay in our resolve to see a Nigeria that Becomes.
Our daughters and granddaughters must never inherit battles and wars e should have fought and won for them.
An unjust society that silences women and vulnerable people can never Become.
We all must refuse that for Nigeria.
We STAND ON โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ.”
We love the synergy between this duo frankly speaking.
