Senator Natasha is making waves across the media for another audacious move. This time, the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District has adhered to her decision to visit her constituency to commemorate the Sallah feast despite Governor Usman Ododo’s clampdown.
The state governor had earlier given a directive that placed a ban on all political rallies and the movement of convoys in the state.
In the wake of the governor’s directive, speculations arose that Natasha’s homecoming had been cancelled.
However, a counterclaim from Natasha’s media team assured her constituents that the senator is committed to the visit to celebrate the Sallah feast with them.
โWe are pleased to confirm that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghanโs Sallah visit to Kogi Central will proceed as planned.”
โDespite rumors circulating online, there has been no official announcement from our office regarding the cancellation of this visit.โ
The senator has equally sent words of encouragement to her constituents to jettison every form of rumour targeted at making them believe in the fallacious claims that her visit has been cancelled.
โHer dedication to the people of Kogi Central is unwavering, and she looks forward to celebrating with them. We assure the public that all necessary arrangements are in place for a successful and joyous event,โ the statement added.
Reports gathered stated that governor Ododo had ordered the ban directive to sabotage the visit as he is sure of the massive supporters and crowd the suspended senator will pull off.
Further emerging reports show that Governor Ododo is possibly shielding his predecessor Yahaya Bello from corruption probes and is weaponising state security to silence opposition figures.
The supporters of Akpoti-Uduaghan has maintained tenacity in their decision to host their senator despite the limitations and odds put forward by the state governor.
