The coronation ceremony of a new Alaafin of Oyo came with an extra icing on the cake.
The event was attended by notable Nigerian figures, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was ably represented by the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja; Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin; and the lawmaker representing Oyo South, Senator Yunus Akintunde.
The coronation ceremony of the 46th Alaafin of Oyo, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Abimbola Owoade I, took place on Saturday at Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo.
Other powerful monarchs present include the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, and the Oluwo of Iwoland, Abdulrosheed Akanbi.
We believe the coronation ceremony of the 46th Alaafin of Oyo, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Abimbola Owoade, will mark another milestone of good governance for the people of Oyo.
