The senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District has reiterated, perhaps for the umpteenth time, that the Nigerian Police should hold the trio of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, ex-governor Yahaya Bello, and incumbent governor Usman Ododo responsible if any harm befalls her.
The senator, who has been vocal about her claims of threats to her life by the aforementioned trio, initially disclosed this information at her homecoming in Kogi State held on April 1st.
Natasha informed her constituents and the general public that there is an ongoing plot to assassinate her by a three-man squad that named Akpabio, Bello, and Ododo as its key players, detailing that the plot will be perfectly executed in her hometown, giving off false evidence that she was taken out by her constituents.
In response to the allegations, Akpabio and Yahaya Bello have separately petitioned the Inspector General of Police to arrest and investigate Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, seeking prosecution if she lacks evidence to support her claims.
Senator Natasha through her legal counsel Victor Giwa, stated that she stands by her allegations of an assassination plot, citing available evidence.
However, recently, the senator’s family home was attacked by gunmen believed to be targeting her, but security operatives and locals repelled the attack.
On April 17, the senator posted about the incident on Facebook, warning of the potential plot for the umpteenth time and calling on the police to hold Akpabio, Bello, and Ododo accountable for any future harm against her.
“Nigeria Police, I reiterate, should any harm befall me, Nigerian Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Ex Gov. Yahaya Bello & Gov. Usman Ododo of Kogi state should be held responsible.”
