President Bola Tinubu has on Saturday extended his congratulations to Ms. Ayo Obe, a prominent human rights advocate and seasoned lawyer, on the occasion of her 70th birthday.
Ms. Obe has previously served as the head of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), the Nigeria Transition Monitoring Group, and was a member of the Police Service Commission.
According to a statement by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, she also led the Democratic Instituteโs Abuja Elections Programme between 2006 and 2009.
President Tinubu praised Ms. Obe for her unwavering commitment to patriotism and humanitarian values, which have characterized her lifelong dedication to justice and the pursuit of a better society.
