Jose Mourinho has been sacked as the manager of Fenerbahce, effective immediately, after the Turkish club’s elimination from the Champions League qualifying round by Benfica.
The decision was made public on August 29, 2025, a day after the loss to Benfica, which meant #Fenerbahce would compete in the Europa League instead.
Fenerbahce’s board expressed gratitude for Mourinho’s efforts and wished him success in his future endeavors.
