In a video circulating online, Carterefe was seen telling police officers that he works with TVC News while attempting to bypass checks at a checkpoint.
The station described the act as impersonation and a deliberate attempt to misrepresent the organisation, warning that it could damage its reputation.
TVC News stated that it is considering legal steps in response to the incident.
