Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party’s former vice-presidential candidate, on Monday met with Julius Abure, the factional National Chairman of the party, and his camp in Abuja.
During the meeting, Datti reportedly pledged to spearhead reconciliation efforts aimed at bridging the divide between the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and other aggrieved stakeholders.
This move is seen as a significant step towards rebuilding unity within the Labour Party in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
