“I saw a teacher set up a tripod in the classroom, where she was supposed to be teaching, and she was recording herself to create content. This was in a classroom where she had 45 minutes to teach.
She set up the tripod, positioned the camera, and was recording herself with her face and the faces of the students for social media. And the school allowed that.
What content are you creating? The content you are creating is for yourself, not for the school or the parents of those students. In a public school, they allowed it, but I trust private school parents.
They will not take that nonsense. In fact, they would sue you. The parents did not bring their faces to social media. You, the class teacher, are the one putting their faces there.
If you must create content as a teacher, why must you use your official working hours, your live class, to record your own personal content that you want to post on your page? That is very wr0ng.
How do you expect effective teaching and learning to take place in that classroom? That’s is a big distraction, a distraction for you as a teacher, and a distraction for the students.
What content are you creating using school working hours, showing the faces of people’s children on social media…?
