Terrorist Kills 13, Raze 8 House in Kebbi
In what looks like a reprisal attack, after the killing of their leader, maigemu, by combined Kebbi forces, the terrorist group on Sunday allegedly attacked one Birnin Dede village, killing thirteen people in the latest siege in the village.
The dreaded group, however, according to local one Malam Umar, said they set no fewer than eight villages on fire close to Birnin dede, where the carnage took place, all under the Arewa local government area of Kebbi state.
Malam Umar explained that the latest attack was a retaliation for the killing of their boss, who was killed by troops recently; he added that the attackers spared only one village manned by the army. “We seek protection from Allah against the dreaded group, Umar said via telephone”.
Recall that combined forces in Kebbi state, supported by Kebbi governor Dr Nasir Idris, killed their kingpin, one maigemu, to secure the state from the dastard activities of armed groups.
However, SP Nafiu Abubakar, Kebbi Police Command image maker, didn’t answer calls made to his phone and as well didn’t reply to text messages sent to him for further details.
