Jandor has jettisoned the biblical injunction that requests children not to rebuke elders harshly, moments after he critiqued the political influence of PDP chieftain Chief Bode George, challenging him over his inability to secure victory in his polling unit despite being in the party for two decades.
Abdul-Azeez Adediran Jandor, the 2023 Lagos State gubernatorial candidate of the Peopleโs Democratic Party (PDP), has ordered the press to be audacious enough to quiz Chief Bode George on why, for two decades, he hasn’t won his polling unit for a party he heads.
“I appeal to you, gentlemen of the press, to ask their supreme leader, Chief Bode George, whenever he appears on your platform: Why hasnโt he won his polling unit since he joined the party 20 years ago? Just ask him that question. Ask him, โSir, why havenโt you won your polling unit since you joined the party 20 years ago?โ Iโm sure he will say itโs because of Jandor,โ he said.
Jandor’s statement came as a response to Bode Georgeโs remarks, where Jandor was branded as insolent and lacking party loyalty. Olajide Adediran responded harshly to Bode George on Monday during a press conference at his office in Ikeja, Lagos, where he made public his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adediran expressed disappointment in the PDPโs failure to tackle an alleged anti-party activity that surfaced during the 2023 general elections.
According to Jandor, the anti-party activities were some of the numerous reasons the party performed poorly in Lagos State during the 2023 general elections.
