Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has taken to social media to express his frustration after receiving a generous N20 million gift from Grammy Award-winning artist, Burna Boy—yet being allegedly ignored over a feature request.
The cash gift followed Portable’s recent victory over Speed Darlington in a much-publicized celebrity boxing match. In a video shared on his Instagram page, the street-hop singer appreciated Burna Boy for his generosity but voiced disappointment over what he sees as a lack of genuine connection.
According to Portable, despite the financial gesture, Burna Boy has consistently ignored his calls and messages, especially concerning a music collaboration—which he values even more than the money.
“Person wey give me twenty million never reply me for Instagram. I no get him number. I dey call am, e no pick. I chat am, e no reply,” he lamented.
While chatting with friends in the video, Portable emphasized that a collaboration with Burna Boy would do more for his career than the monetary gift.
“Burna Boy, Odogwu, gave me N20 million, but didn’t say hello to me, didn’t follow me on Instagram. I appreciate the money, but a feature would change my life. The money go finish, but if I feature am, I don blow.”
His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with fans debating whether the singer should be grateful or if his demand for a feature crosses the line.
