With deep reflection, a heavy heart, and unwavering love for the people of Delta State, I, ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ซ๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ข, ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐, hereby tender my resignation as ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ฌ, effective from 25th April, 2025, marking the end of my tenure which began on the 2nd of August, 2023.
When I accepted the appointment, it was with burning hope โ a hope to bridge the gap between ๐ ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฏ๐จ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฏ๐จ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ, to inspire change not just from the corridors of power but from the trenches where our people cry daily for justice, development, and a better life.
I did not join politics to wine and dine. I joined ๐๐๐ and accepted this role with only one ambition: to fight for the ordinary Deltan through ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ, ๐๐๐ฏ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฒ, and Developmental partnerships that would uplift our land from the scars of neglect and political promises into genuine prosperity. But I was limited by the very system I sought to strengthen.
Every single effort to attract international developmental partners, ๐๐๐๐ฌ, and innovation was stalled and dumped into ๐๐๐IV (๐๐๐๐ฉ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ข๐๐ฐ). What should have been a movement for progress became a standstill. Projects that could have sparked industrial revolutions, brought jobs to the unemployed, and put food in the mouths of widows and orphans were met with silence.
Where are the economic projects that bring money into the hands of ordinary people? Where is the non-kinetic security architecture we so passionately advocated for โ the use of ๐๐-๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ in ungoverned spaces of our state to protect lives and property?
From 1999 to date, not one tangible thing comes into the pocket of the average Deltan monthly. Not one policy guarantees their safety. Not one hope touches their roof. This cannot continue โ and I refuse to be part of a system that watches our people drown and claps instead of rescuing them.
To your credit, ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ฒ, I thank you for the opportunity to serve. I did not take it lightly. I tried with every drop of energy I had โ we established the ๐๐๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ญ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ค๐๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ค๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ: ๐ฃ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ, ๐ต๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ. We gave our best, and we are still giving our best โ but a tree cannot make a forest when starved of rain.
What we need is political will. If the state must take loans, let it be to protect lives. Let it be to bring technology to our streets, especially those forgotten in the rural ends of our beloved Delta.

The birth of ๐๐๐ itself was possible because the ๐๐๐ government then allowed political plurality. That era was the best of Nigeriaโs democracy. Democracy is not democracy when power is gained by manipulation. That is not democracy; that is voodoo governance.
