Would it be right to say Karma came too early for Portable? Or were the numerous curses laid upon him by too many to count, following his uncensored disparagement of the Alaafin of Oyo, his estranged Queen, Queen Dami, and the Oyo people, becoming potent and answering their calls?
Well, in a bid to render either of the above futile, Portable is doing what only he can do: dancing to the tune of a spiritualist and warding off the lingering repercussions of his past misdeeds.
In his most recent move, the singer was seen in a self-shared Instagram video in church, praying to God for intervention.
The chaos that was becoming too weighty for the singer has left him wanted by the Ogun State government. Prior to this brazen declaration, the singer had recently labeled his father “a bad man” in a post. Habeeb had called out his father and accused him of ripping him off and abandoning him in his time of trouble. According to him, he gave his father money to help him with the building, but his father didnโt settle with the police; hence, he is in a mess.
Recall also that in the past, Habeeb Okikiola dragged his second baby mama, Ashabi Simple, through the mud with claims of disloyalty on her part. Further video from the singer revealed that the rationale behind the outrage was that the actress, Ashabi Simple had bagged an endorsement deal without the singer’s consent.
It is believed that when a child errs, the right hand reprimands, while the left hand draws him closer. It seems the singer who has fallen out with several celebrities and is presently on the blacklist of many game changers has suddenly realized his mistakes. Remember, to err is human; but to forgive is divine. But then again, it is Portable, isn’t it? What assurance do we have that this change is not prima facie evidence? In Davido’s voice, we need assurance.
