Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke has taken out his anger on the popular Nigerian blog “Instablog” for perhaps erroneously naming him among the perpetrators of a kidnap case in Lagos State.
Instablog came under the backlash of the famous singer after posting on social media that a certain suspected kidnapper, who is recognized by the moniker “Davido,” has been apprehended alongside his gang by the residents of Victory Estate in Ago Palace, Lagos State.
In a video that has rapidly gained traction and momentum, the suspects were seen seated on the floor as they answered some questions during an interrogation by the residents of the said estate where the incident occurred. During the questioning, one of the suspects mentioned his name as Ifeanyi, who hails from Anambra State, while the kingpin of the kidnappers’ gang identified himself with his moniker as “Davido,” adding that he came for the kidnap mission.
A further interrogation by the estate’s residents revealed that the other two suspects are from Kwara State and Imo State.
It became obvious after viewing the complete video that the blog only intended to cite the nickname of the suspect as mentioned by him and not to indict the singer, who is known for his right standing in society, by any malicious means or intent.
