A Non – Governmental Organisation (NGO) has advised students of tertiary institutions in Kaduna State to eschew indiscipline to allow for a conducive learning atmosphere in their schools.
The NGO gave the charge while applauding Governor Uba Sani for reducing fees being paid in tertiary institutions in the state by 50 per cent.
In a statement at the weekend, the Arewa Think Tank said the reduction of fees was a step forward in addressing critical educational development challenges faced by indigent parents in the state.
“We want to use this opportunity to advise students that, on their part, they should make sure that an atmosphere of peace prevails to allow for government’s development programmes to run their full course,” it said in the statement signed by Muhammad A. Yakubu.
“In the same vein, we want to urge the government to continue to support students and the youth generally to realise their ambitions for a better future”, it said.
