Kidnapped married Woman regains freedom after ransom payment in Kebbi
Nafisa Bala Usman, who was abducted in her matrimonial home at Gayi village under Kalgo local government, was on Friday released by armed men after a ransom payment of one and a half million (1.5) with a twenty-thousand recharge card.
According to her husband’s elder brother, Alhaji Dalhatu Gayi, “The victim was picked by the family at Goron Dutse village under Suru local government area of Kebbi, very far from Gayi, where they abducted her after the family reportedly paid the ransom demanded by gunmen.
” She is in stable condition, we commend the efforts of Kalgo local government chairman, Alhaji Yahya Kuka, family and friends who contributed to the payment of the ransom”.
He appealed to security agencies to step up efforts to contain the influx of Kidnappers, who he said are allegedly hiding in Goron Dutse village and are mostly Fulanis working with yet to be identified informants, posing a serious threat to the people living in the nearby villages.
However, as of the time of filing this report, the Police have yet to release an official statement on the issue regarding her release.
