
Tragedy has struck the quiet Eche Ezema community in Ibagwa Aka, the headquarters of Igbo Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, as a self-proclaimed pastor allegedly murdered four innocent siblings in a horrifying act that has left residents in shock and mourning.
The suspect, a pastor who runs a Sabbath church in the neighborhood, was accused of scaling a fence to gain access to the victims’ home, where he allegedly used a pestle to brutally kill the children — all under the age of eight.

The victims have been identified as:
– Kamsiyochukwu Ezema, aged 7
– Ezinne Ezema, aged 6
– Ujunwa Ezema, aged 5
– Chinedu Ezema, aged 2
The church reportedly shares a fence with the victims’ residence, where the heinous crime occurred. According to community members, the parents of the deceased, **Chinonso and Loveth Ezema**, were away at the time of the attack.
Following the gruesome discovery, the suspect was apprehended and is currently being held at the Divisional Police Station in Ibagwa Aka.
Devastated and heartbroken, the bereaved parents are calling for justice.
“We want the police to carry out a thorough investigation and ensure the person responsible for this barbaric act is brought to justice,” said the father, Chinonso Ezema.
A police officer who confirmed the arrest — while requesting anonymity — appealed to the public for calm.
“This is a tragic and sensitive case. We urge the public to remain calm and allow a full investigation to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident,” the officer stated.
The community remains in mourning as investigations continue, with many still struggling to come to terms with the brutal murder of the young children by someone they believed to be a man of God.
