APC presidential campaign council director-general Abdul’Aziz Yari has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will win re-election in the 2027 presidential election, saying the ruling party will remain in power beyond 2031.
Yari spoke in Abuja after the presidency unveiled the APC presidential campaign council, with Tinubu as chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC national chairman Nentawe Yilwatda among its principal officials.
Despite criticism over the inclusion of some serving officials and individuals facing unresolved allegations, Yari said the council would deliver Tinubu’s re-election and ensure the administration fulfils its campaign promises.
He assured Nigerians that the APC would keep its word, adding that the party would work towards retaining power after Tinubu’s possible second term.
“We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term,” Yari said.
