Waves of congratulations pour in as Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr confirms the arrival of the first child of one of its players and two-time African Footballer of the Year, Sadio Manรฉ.
Manรฉ, who exchanged vows with his 19-year-old wife Aisha Tamba barely 14 months ago, was seen in a video taking a walk through the club’s premises in a jubilatory mood and quoting verses from the Holy Qur’an.
“Al-Kahf Ayat 46: ‘Wealth and children are the adornment of this worldly life, but the everlasting good deeds are far better with your Lord in reward and in hope.'”
The birth of the new baby was reported to have taken place in Saudi Arabia, the resident home of Manรฉ and his lovely wife, Aisha.
Upon the birth of the baby, whose gender hasn’t been categorically disclosed to the public by Manรฉ, speculations have risen, with many declaring the name of the baby as โAissata.โ
Mane, who has in the past hinted at his desire to father many nationsโsay seven or eightโhas, however, remained resolute in his decision not to publicize the newborn’s name yet.
Correspondents report that Sadio and Aishat are both Senegalese from the Casamance region. Their meeting could best be described as divinely orchestrated, as they met through family networking when the bride, Aishat, was just 16.
Mane, a traditional man, went to see Aishat’s parents, and they both reached a consensus to allow Aishat to turn 18 before any sort of relationship could be initiated.
Reports indicate that Mane supported Aishat’s education, helping her graduate with a distinction in her diploma before they both signed on the dotted line in a traditional Islamic ceremony that took place in early January last year in Keur Massar, Dakar.
