Amarachi Kanu-Nwankwo, the wife of Super Eagles star player Kanu Nwankwo, has opened up about how her early marriage to the legendary player affected her in some ways.
The stunning mum of three, who got married to the Super Eagles striker and ex-Arsenal player at the age of 18, said the marriage launched her into a phase of stardom she wasn’t psychologically ready for.
Amarachi maintained that there were times she had to console the player over losses recorded in matches played against other teams.
Detailing how being Kanu Nwankwo’s wife had taught her invaluable lessons on patience and perseverance, she praised her husband for his sensitivity and humility, adding that his personality and actions have left a positive impact on her life.
Amara also hinted that she had grown to like football, especially the English Premier League, since her husband Kanu Nwankwo plays for the Arsenal club.
“I began to understand what it meant to miss matches and cheered him up. I was forced to learn fast that every game had a consequence, a price and a goal at the end of the day. “I never had an idea that marrying my husband would thrust me into the limelight I wasnโt ready for. I was not a football fan and donโt have no idea about the English Premier League but today, I am a huge fan.”
