The Urhobo Progress Union UPU Youth Wing ably led by Activist Ughere Blessed, has condemned in strong terms the massive attack by Fulani herdsmen that led to the killing of innocent citizens in Uwheru kingdom.
The act by the Fulani herdsmen is barbaric, immoral, disheartening, and it’s unacceptable by the people of Urhobo Nation. UPU Youth Wing therefore call on security agencies to swing into action and fitch out those that perpetuated such evil act in Uwheru kingdom.
The body will not condone any form of incessant killing in the Urhobo land under their watch, stating that “no citizen has the right to take the life of another citizen, no matter the circumstance. The body further stated that at all times, law enforcement agencies should be proactive with their job to avert incessant killing.
They further called on the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to set up panel of enquiry to investigate the attacks by the fulani herdsmen in Uwheru kingdom that led to the lost of lives in the Urhobo Nation.
The body expressed their condolences to the immediate families of those that lost their lives during the attack and plead with the victims family to remain calm while the security agencies conduct a detail investigation and bring the perpetuators to book.
