Singer Abolore Adegbola Akande popularly known as 9ice has revealed that he has been a ‘babalawo’ for over 18 years now although he’s been keeping it private.
He made this revelation during the listening party of his ninth studio album “The Beginning of Wisdom” which was held in Yaba, Lagos.
When asked about fulfillment, 9ice spoke candidly about his personal evolution disclosing that he has been a babalawo for 18 years.
“I’ve been a babalawo for more than 18 years now. But I’ve been hiding it because if people know, they’ll run from me,” he said. He also revealed that one of the tracks on the album is dedicated to Esu.
