The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2026 to accept or reject the offers.
The new deadline is September 30, 2026, replacing the earlier August 31 deadline.
JAMB said the extension gives affected candidates a final opportunity to indicate whether they wish to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers.
Candidates with pending offers have been advised to take action before the deadline. Those who accept their offers will be able to print their admission letters, while those who reject them will have their dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted.”
The Board also clarified that candidates who are no longer studying at the institution where an earlier admission was offered may accept the outstanding offer and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion.
Candidates currently pursuing a second degree but who still have an earlier unaccepted admission offer may also reject the previous offer and continue with their current programme.
JAMB further assured candidates who secured admission during the 2026 admission exercise that rejecting an earlier outstanding offer would not affect their new admission.
The Board warned that September 30, 2026, is the final deadline, adding that there would be no further extension.
It said all outstanding admission offers from 2021 onward that remain neither accepted nor rejected by the deadline will automatically be reverted to “Not Admitted” status.
JAMB therefore urged all affected candidates to act immediately and avoid waiting until the deadline.
