Streams of Joy International, founded by Pastor Jerry Eze, has responded to a viral claim by a woman identified as Sandra Okpara, who alleged that she mistakenly transferred N1,640,200 to the church.
Okpara reportedly claimed that she intended to transfer the money to her Zenith Bank account but accidentally sent it to the church while making an offering during her religious activities.
The church said it became aware of the allegation through a video circulating online, adding that Okpara had not previously contacted it regarding the alleged erroneous transfer.
In a statement, Streams of Joy said it had not received any call, email, direct message or formal complaint from the woman before the matter became public.
The church explained that it routinely handles reports of erroneous transactions through a verification process and urged Okpara to contact its official channels and provide the relevant transaction details.
It said the information would enable its team to investigate the matter and work towards resolving it.
Streams of Joy further assured the public that it remained committed to addressing genuine concerns transparently and responsibly.
