Apparently, it’s a case of the prodigal son and political backpedaling as Olajide Adediran Jandor, who ditched the All Progressives Congress prior to the 2023 general election for the People’s Democratic Party, where he picked up a membership form as the party’s candidate, has now backpedaled to the All Progressives Congress for the second time after several meetings with some party stalwarts.
Jandor disclosed this information of great political relevance in a press conference held at his campaign office in Ikeja on Monday. While speaking, he endorsed the All Progressives Congress, stating that it is unarguably the most credible party with the truest mechanism to deliver the much-desired impeccable governance.
Speaking further, Adediran clarified his backpedaling into the APC, stating that his resolute decision was made after thorough consultations with political leaders and supporters spread across and beyond Lagos State.
We recall that Nigerians have been agog about his next move shortly after his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party was made public a few weeks back. Further compounding his woes in the party and signaling to all and sundry that all wasn’t well with the PDP were alleged claims from Jandor against party chieftain Bode George for indulging in anti-PDP activities.
We wish the APC fortitude to accept future defectors, as it seems the opposition parties are dying at fantastic rates… in Ganduje’s words.
