Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has raised an alarm about a new illegal move to initiate her recall by her adversaries.
The senator, who is currently serving a six-month suspension, has voiced concerns about a new scheme built on fallacies to initiate her recall, stating that it will soon be submitted to the office of INEC.
Revealing the ongoing plot, the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District made a post on X on Saturday night, the 12th of April, where she detailed that sensitive documents, including petitions, are being prepared to be submitted to the INEC office at any moment.
In a pragmatic move, the senator sounded a note of warning to the electoral body, noting that the nation is watching as events unfold and will hold them accountable to their acclaimed constituted standards and authority.
She wrote:
Dear @inecnigeria, Iโm aware these amongst other forged petitions In furtherance of โtheirโ recall will be submitted to your good office next week. โWell, Nigerians will hold you to your constituted standards and authority.โ
It’s been a rollercoaster of trials for the senator since she brazenly stood up to the Senate President’s dictatorial behaviour and publicly alleged sexual harassment. As the event unfolds, it can only be wished that the necessary bodies dish out justice as deserved.
