In a dramatic twist, social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, alias VeryDarkMan, has been detained by the EFCC for calling out GTBank regarding the irrational debit alerts his mother’s account received without any transactions made to warrant such.
In another Facebook post, the lawyer who previously stated that VeryDarkMan’s location had been uncovered came to inform netizens of the latest development.
In his words, VeryDarkMan was arrested with his friend and kept in the EFCC’s custody.
He mentioned that VDM refused to come out of the cell, noting that he wouldn’t be seeing anybody. However, his lawyers, led by the head of his firm, Marvin Omorogbe, were able to initiate a conversation with his friend.
Noting further, Adeyanju disclosed that his client was allegedly locked inside the bank’s exit door for more than five minutes, giving enough room for the EFCC to nab him and his friend.
Finalizing his statement, Deji Adeyanju has threatened a legal action against GTBank following what he labeled as “inhumane treatment meted out to his client.
His words:
“VDM DETAINED AT EFCC:
Our lawyers led by the Head of our firm @Marvin_Omorogbe just met VDMโs friend who was arrested together with him in EFCC custody. VDM refused to come out of the cell; that he wonโt see anyone. VDM was locked inside the GTB exit door for over 5mins to enable EFCC arrest him and his friend. We will be taking legal actions against GTB for the inhumane treatment meted out to our client.”
