Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has refuted claims that he sought the services of a native doctor in preparation for his re-election campaign in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, the governor described the reports as false, malicious, and intentionally misleading.
The government clarified that the widely circulated video was taken out of context and distorted in an effort to tarnish the governorโs reputation.
According to the statement, the footage originated from a recent interactive session between Governor Soludo and content creators based in Anambra.
The event, organized by the Governorโs Special Senior Assistant on New Media, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, was intended to foster stronger collaboration between the state government and the creative industry.
โThe attention of the Anambra State Government has been drawn to a malicious online publication and social media posts falsely claiming that Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, consulted a native doctor regarding his re-election. This is a total fabrication,โ the statement read.
โOne of the content creators performed a native doctor skit a popular comic act in Nigeriaโs entertainment scene, purely for entertainment purposes. It was not, in any form, a consultation session with a native doctor,โ the statement emphasized.
