The much-anticipated African Cinderella-themed story, “Tarella: Princess of the Nile”, has finally hit the cinemas.
While we can’t get enough of the state-of-the-art costumes and classic makeovers, the plot of the movie is deeply entrenched in African dynamics and culture.
Written by Lolo Eremie, and co-directed by Lolo Eremie and Kayode Kasum (@kayodekasum & @lolo_starrr), the movie, which is set in a mythical Akkaya Kingdom, chronicles the adventures of a crowned prince and an orphaned maiden and the circumstances they must navigate to find true love.
Tarella stars the Nollywood legend Richard Mofe Damijo and everybody’s sweetheart, Timini Egbuson. Also making up the cast list are Okawa Shaznay, BBNaija’s Nengi Rebecca Hampson, Elvina Ibru, Ummi Baba-Ahmed, Onyinye Ezekwe, Gideon Okeke, Preach Bassey, Chioma Idigo, William Benson, Patrick Diabuah, Bassey Ekpo, and Jackline Assenga.
- Thumbs up to ~ @captaindegzyCostume for the tasteful cinematography and ~@gloryudumaMakeUp for the make-overs.
