Hakeem Okikiola, popularly called Portable, has added another diadem to his intimidating list of honors by calling out his progenitor in the most disdainful manner.
In an Instagram post, the controversial singer unsparingly dragged his father with claims that he couldn’t set up a wall of defense on his behalf when the police were on his case.
“Why didnโt my father go to the police station to cover me? He is a bad father. I give him money for all these houses, yet he took my money. If he had settled things with them, I wouldnโt be in trouble with these people. Why is my father running from the police? The houses belong to me, the Badmus family.โ
Prior to now, Portable is well known for engaging in dramatic tantrums with anyone, irrespective of their echelon in society, and this time, he didn’t spare his father the same rod.
The genesis of the father-son fallout was when the controversial singer engaged in a fistfight with officials from the Ogun State government who were on an inspection mission to the hotel project he flaunted earlier on social media.
From the officials’ analysis, Portable, who erected his project beside a mosque, didn’t obtain the legal permit from the government to do so; hence, the project didn’t meet Urban and Regional Planning requirements. The government had undertaken the action of putting a compulsory stop to the ongoing project.
In his response, Hakeem was said to have called on the authorities in charge to reconsider their decision by considering his contribution to society, which involves the installation of social amenities such as streetlights and road repairs.
The prevailing issue left the singer with no other choice than to cancel his London show, with the reason that family reigns supreme as far as he is concerned.
We hope that whatever caused him to wash the dirty linen of his family in public will be settled amicably.
