Anambra State-based native doctor, Chidozie Nwangwu, known by all and sundry as Akwa Okoku, has been charged to court over a five-count charge of ritualism, affiliation to drug dealers, charm preparation for kidnappers, aiding and abetting internet fraudsters, and performance of ritual charms for clientele.
Chidozie Nwangwu, who was arrested on Sunday, the 16th of February, has been arraigned before the Anambra State High Court by the Anambra State government, the stateโs Commissioner of Police (CP) Ikioye Orutugu, as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for ritual practices, where his prosecution shall commence on a later date that will be communicated subsequently.
The Anambra State government has mentioned that the properties of Chidozie Nwangwu, which include his several guest houses and fleet of cars, among others, shall be confiscated. Akwa Akoku’s charges include:
1. Involvement in money ritual practices.
2. Business ties to drug dealers.
3. Preparing charms for kidnappers and armed robbers both within and outside the state.
4. Aiding internet fraudsters, also known as “yahoo boys.”
5. Performing ritualistic charms for clients.
