Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s voice cloning and calls manipulation saga is beginning to gain clarity following a disclosure that her mobile phone was hacked, with the culprits using it to contact several prominent individuals under false pretenses.
A statement from her office revealed that the hackers, operating under the alias “Thomas Rhoda” and using the phone number +2347067565181, have reached out to notable figures such as Senator Ben Obi, Vanguard Newspapers Publisher Pa. Sam Amuka Pemu, among others, falsely claiming to be acting on the Senatorโs behalf.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan who was currently suspended and recently in the news for accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment has urged the public to ignore any calls, messages, or solicitations appearing to come from her at this time.
Her husband, Mr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services (DSS), both of which are now investigating the case.
