The people’s insight on Monday broke the news of how Pastor Isah was arrested and detained by the police for allegedly raping raping a 14-year-old girl.
The Nigeria Police Force has refused to grant an administrative bail to Amos Isah, the founder and lead pastor of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry in Gwagwalada, Abuja. The people’s insight on Monday broke the news of how Pastor Isah was arrested and detained by the police for allegedly raping raping a 14-year-old girl.
A source privy to the incident informed the people’s insight that Pastor Isah had applied for an administrative bail pending the investigation of the allegation levelled against him.
However, his application was declined by the police, according to the source.
A source said: “On the pastor accused of rape and detained, the police said they will not release him on bail and that they are waiting for legal advice before charging him to court.
“His church members are surprised because he told them he was travelling abroad,” the source added.
His arrest, which took place last week, sent shockwaves through the community, as Pastor Isah was known for his charismatic sermons and claims of divine power.
His church, located behind Noble Noel Academy, opposite the Gwagwalada Market in Abuja, has been a centre of worship for many residents.
A review of his Facebook page by the people’s insight shows that Isah frequently posts messages on holiness and moral uprightness.
Checks by SaharaReporters revealed that the last service conducted by the cleric at his church took place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The following day, June 19, a service was held at the church, but Pastor Isah was notably absent from the pulpit.
On his Facebook page, Pastor Isah’s intro is that the “purposes of this page is (sic) to touch lives as the Holy spirit leads because God has given me power.”
On June 15, Father’s Day, he posted on Facebook, “Dear God, thank you for the gift of fatherhood. We pray for all fathers and those hoping to become fathers. May You give them the strength to be a vessel of Your love. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY.”
In a post on June 11, he said, “The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, but the righteous are bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1, NASB). We need the Holy Spirit’s help any time we stand up for Jesus; it is His strength that we must lean on. We need His boldness and courage to be light in a dark world if we are to be a mouthpiece for Him.”
However, authorities exclusively told SaharaReporters that he abused his spiritual influence to exploit a minor.
Sources within the FCID confirm that the victim, the 14-year-old girl, was allegedly sexually assaulted by Isah, leading to his arrest.
Attempts to reach the cleric for comment were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to calls to his mobile phone.
