Gunmen have struck again, kidnapping a middle-aged woman and her twin children in the Elewura area of Challenge, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
The victim was reportedly taking her children to school when the gunmen waylaid her at gunpoint.
She was forced to abandon her Kia Sonata vehicle before the kidnappers whisked her and the children away in their vehicle.
An eyewitness said sporadic gunshots were fired to scare residents and passers-by away from the scene.
Residents reportedly scampered to safety as the shooting continued.
The incident comes barely 20 days after the kidnapping of 47 students and teachers in Ahoro Esiele, in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
