The Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, has sparked public interest after describing her counterpart in the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, as her “partner in crime” while showering him with praise for his performance in public office.
Musawa made the remarks in a post on her X account on Tuesday, October 13, where she used a series of affectionate expressions to describe her relationship with the aviation minister.
She referred to Keyamo as her “ride or die,” “day one,” “real one,” “bestie,” “brother” and “5 and 6,” among other terms, while expressing admiration for his service to the country.
“I am so proud of you, my dear brother, @fkeyamo. You are, without doubt, one of the best-performing public servants Nigeria has produced,” she wrote.
“Thank you for your service, my brother!” she added.
The phrase “partner in crime” featured prominently in Musawa’s message, drawing attention to the warm tone of her public tribute to the minister.
Although the expression is commonly used informally to describe a close friend or trusted companion, its use in the public praise of a fellow cabinet member adds an unusual touch to the exchange.
Musawa and Keyamo are both members of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet. While Musawa oversees arts, culture, tourism and the creative economy, Keyamo heads the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
The two ministers have appeared together at public functions, including the maiden Seyi Tinubu Colloquium held on Monday to mark the 41st birthday of the president’s son.
They were also selected as keynote speakers for the ninth National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo, an event focused on issues linking transportation and tourism development.
Keyamo’s participation came after his appointment by the African Development Bank as Africa’s champion for the Integrated Aviation Transformation Programme for Africa.
Musawa, meanwhile, has highlighted the importance of strengthening transportation networks to expand domestic and international tourism.
Her latest message has brought their relationship into the spotlight, combining personal expressions of friendship with a strong endorsement of Keyamo’s performance as a public office holder.
