Candidates who have lost access to the phone numbers or email addresses registered on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board portal can now apply to update their details.
According to the board, the process is available to candidates who have lost their registered SIM cards or access to their email accounts and need to update their information.
JAMB said candidates affected by the development should follow a series of steps to complete the process.
2. Obtain a court affidavit
Candidates are required to visit a High Court and obtain an affidavit to support their request for a SIM swap or email change.
2. Log into JAMB e-Facility
After obtaining the affidavit, candidates should log into their JAMB e-Facility profile.
3. Select “Penalties”
On the e-Facility menu, candidates should select the “Penalties” option.
4. Select SIM Swap/Email Change
Under the Penalties section, candidates should select “SIM Swap/Email Change Penalty Payment.”
5. Pay the prescribed fee
Candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee for the service through the JAMB portal.
6. Visit a JAMB office
After payment, candidates should proceed to a designated JAMB office or PTC/PRC Centre to complete the process.
7. Provide profile details
At the centre, candidates will be required to provide their profile code and existing GSM number.
8. Complete biometric verification
The candidate will undergo biometric verification as part of the process.
9. Upload the affidavit
A scanned copy of the court affidavit will also be uploaded to complete the application.
JAMB said the service is intended for candidates with genuine cases of lost access to their registered GSM numbers or email addresses.
The board also stated that the service can only be accessed once, urging candidates to ensure that the information supplied during the process is accurate.
