A recent sermon by Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has sparked widespread discussion after he addressed the spiritual consequences of premarital sex.
During his message, Dr. Olukoya emphasized that men who take a woman’s virginity but fail to marry her may face severe repercussions. He explained that such an act establishes a spiritual covenant, which, if broken, can lead to long-term struggles, including misfortune and generational bondage.
“If you’re a man and you have taken a woman’s virginity, especially without marrying her, don’t be surprised if your life is in turmoil,” he warned. “When you do this, you come into contact with the blood of that woman, forming a covenant with her. Breaking this covenant brings serious consequences. It can affect not just you but also your descendants unless you take deliberate spiritual steps to break it.”
Dr. Olukoya further cautioned that if a man unknowingly deflowers a woman with demonic influences, he forms a spiritual bond not only with her but also with any dark forces she carries. “When such a man moves on to another woman, he transfers the spiritual baggage from the previous relationship, potentially corrupting an otherwise innocent partner.”
His message has ignited debates, with some supporting his views on the spiritual significance of sexual relationships, while others question the concept of spiritual covenants formed through intimacy. Regardless of differing opinions, Dr. Olukoya’s sermon has undoubtedly stirred a conversation on the deeper implications of premarital sex.
